This is a succulent plant. I thought that it would be a good object to photograph because it has vibrant colors. I brought it outside to take pictures of because the colors looked even brighter and more lively in the direct natural light. I decided to have the photograph from the birds eye view remain without a filter. I made this decision because it looks crisper without the filter and the plant seems to have more texture, detail, and color from this view. The other image is from the side and shows the varying heights and levels of the plant.
Pineapple
Pointellized Pineapple
I decided to take pictures of a pineapple for one of my objects. The reason I chose a pineapple is because they are one of my favorite fruits. They also remind me of tropic areas and warm weather. The first view is looking up from the bottom of the pineapple. This allowed you to see more detail which led me to leaving this one without the filter. The other image shows the entire plant from a different angle with slightly less detail.
Shine
Crystelized Vase
I decided to take pictures of this vase because the light going through it produced a cool pattern of light on the background. I decided to go to a room with minimal natural light to take this picture. This is because with an abundance of light, the patterns create through the vase were harder to see and not as emphasized. For the other picture, there was a slightly different angle which did not emphasize the light as much which is why I decided to put the filter on that image instead. I decided to use this filter because I thought it matched the object.
Twist
Color Halftone Shell
For one of my objects, I chose a shell. I have always loved going to the beach and spending time in the water. My family goes to Florida every year and we spend lots of time relaxing at the beach. I thought this shell was a good object to photograph because it has intricate twists and a detailed pattern. I chose to use this filter because it forms a pattern that looks somewhat like sand which matches the shell.

Mezzotint Chairs
I took photos of adirondack chairs on the beach of my family's cottage. My family travels across the state to Grand Haven many times each summer where we relax on the beach and spend time together. The chairs remind me of summer and spending time on the beach in the sun. I chose to not put a filter on the picture with a less busy background. This filter also has a pixelated appearance which looks somewhat like sand which is why I chose to use it on this image.
